Till 2004 I work under the name Boryana Dragoeva.
In 2004, together with the Russian artists Oleg Mavromatti (one of the key representatives of Moscow radical art (aka Moscow radicalism, or Moscow actionism) establieshed the art collective ULTRAFUTURO.
My works are concerned with an investigation of attitudes towards “the other”, “the different”, the “alien” in contemporary technologically and biologically advanced cultures. New concepts of “diversity” and hierarchy take place and bring life to new types of power structures. I consider gender issues pretty much dependent on technological development that has to be the prism trough which we must look at them nowadays.
